Course Overview

The first three levels (Low Beginner - Low Intermediate) of Business English meet 2 hours per day, three days per week (6 hours/week, 48 hours/course) . The Intermediate through Advanced levels meet 2 hours per day four days per week (8 hours/week, 64 hours/course).

The Business English: Low Beginner course uses learner-centered methods to facilitate acquisition of the vocabulary, practical communicative functions, and proficiency development necessary for foundational interaction in the professional workplace. Students completing the Business English: Low Beginner course will be able to introduce themselves and others, manage basic conversation strategies both face-to-face and on the telephone, write basic emails using standard conventions, and understand conversations and texts related to the workplace.


High Beginner
